CHILD ENTRY
My niece, Linnea, is a curious child. She explores EVERYthing to the delight of some and the consternation of others!! God's world is a constant source of wonder to her. Here's to you, little Linnea.
These two pictures are poignant as they sit next to each other. 82 years separate them. Love binds them. And both of them wonder about life.
ADULT ENTRY
My mother. Corinne. She has been dealing with cancer with grace and dignity for four years. This picture was taken not long after learning that the cancer had returned. The Dr. had told us that time was limited. She is on her patio with my dad, two of her four children, a son-in-l

aw, two of her 11 grandchildren and one of her seven great-grandchildren. All but little Linnea are holding a cup like the one she has. It was a "cup of suffering" all were sharing with her. Each pledged to pray for her, to talk with her, to listen to her, to help, to be present, to love. All pledged to share in her suffering to the extent that they could. They would drink the cup she was being asked to drink, in as much as was possible. I called later and drank with her. Here, I see her wondering what the future holds as she holds her "cup of suffering". By God's grace, she is still with us, though slowly and gracefully fading. We all wonder.
